A1

Bambu Lab A1 2023

The A1 targets users with some FDM printing experience who want high speeds and advanced features — full automatic calibration, flow rate compensation, input shaping — without the learning curve of open-frame machines. Its accessible price and straightforward operation also make it suitable for newcomers to the Bambu Lab ecosystem, as long as they are not complete beginners.

Software

The A1 works natively with Bambu Studio, Bambu Lab's proprietary slicer available for Windows and macOS, which handles slicing, automatic calibrations, and remote monitoring via the Bambu Handy app. Third-party slicers — including PrusaSlicer, SuperSlicer, and Ultimaker Cura — are supported via standard G-code export, but advanced features such as vibration compensation and active flow control are only available within the Bambu ecosystem.

Reviews from those who use this machine every day will be available in the next version of the platform.
