Working with MakerSpecs
MakerSpecs is an independent catalog of maker machines, with technical data verified one by one. If you make or distribute these machines, here's how to collaborate — and the terms, stated clearly before we start.
One condition is non-negotiable: no commercial agreement influences editorial assessments. We don't sell positive opinions, we don't remove verified critical notes, we don't offer privileged positions. If you don't accept this, it's fair to know before writing to us.
Current status, no beating around the bush
Today MakerSpecs has no active affiliation with manufacturers: we say so in the manifesto and in every page's footer. Proposals are welcome, but a collaboration doesn't change how a product enters the catalog or is assessed. A product gets in because it's relevant to makers, not because it brings a commission.

Affiliate program / discount code

Send a product for testing
The «Tested by MakerSpecs» program: measured parameters and a real-world usage judgment, not just declared specs. We accept products on loan or as gifts, never with conditions on the test outcome.

Verified Partner profile
A data verification and update service: «Verified Partner» badge, a direct channel to report new models and withdrawals, the right of public reply to critical notes. It doesn't buy visibility.

Report a wrong value
Noticed a wrong spec on one of our sheets? Fixing it is the highest priority, partner or not. We need the source: without a verifiable reference we can't update.

What we never do
- We don't accept payment to write positive reviews.
- We don't remove verified critical notes at a brand's request.
- We don't change assessments in exchange for commercial agreements.
- We don't grant privileged positions in comparisons or results.
- We don't hide affiliate links: every commercial relationship is disclosed.
