Blade cutting plotter
The blade cutting plotter is a CNC machine that replaces ink with a sharp blade, guiding it across a carrier surface to cut precise shapes from sheet materials. Unlike laser or plasma cutting, the process is mechanical and at room temperature: no heat, no fumes, no heat-affected zones — making this technology ideal for sensitive materials such as adhesive vinyl, paper, card, non-woven fabric, thin leather, felt and window film.
Blade pressure and cut depth are key parameters: the system must penetrate the material without scoring the carrier backing (kiss-cut mode) or cut completely through to the backing (through-cut mode). Formats range from small desktop machines (Cricut, Silhouette, Cameo) ideal for craft and small-run decoration, to professional widths of 60–165 cm capable of continuous work from rolls for signage, labels and packaging production.
